Principal's Message |
Family Update June 2008
Greetings,
It has been an amazing May!
We celebrated May Crowning, Disney Breakfast with the
Principal, and the classes went on many field trips. Our 2nd
grade classes experienced their First Holy Communion and had
a special celebration at school. It was a beautiful day
thanks to all the room parents and parent helpers. Thank
you!
Last week was Spirit Week and
our faculty and staff showed their school spirit by wearing
Holy Rosary School uniforms on Monday (showing HR school
spirit). It was a great day! The students had a wacky, fun
field day thanks to the wonderful field day chairs. Many
parent volunteers led the day with water games and dancing
inside the Dominican Hall. Thank you for making the day so
special!
Yesterday we said goodbye to
our pastor, Father Jordan Bradshaw. He will be going on
vacation today and returning in mid June. The parish will
officially say goodbye on June 22nd with an
afternoon barbeque. Father Jordan has been with our parish
for six years. He has loved our school and has given his
support and spirit to us. Each class gave Father a special
gift and the school gave him a gift certificate to Amazon
books.. He loves to read! Please feel free to send in
cards to the school and we will route them to him in June.
We will welcome our new
pastor, Father Roberto Corral in August. He will begin
living here at HR in early July. Fr. Roberto was at Holy
Rosary 12 years ago and is grateful to be coming home!
Please extend your heartfelt
thanks to Steve DeBenedetti-Emanuel. Steve has been our
counselor at the school for the past 8 years and is moving
on. He has a new son and will be spending more time with
him at home. We wish Steve well in all he does.
We are diligently working on
all of our plans for the 2008-2009 school year. It will be
exciting and eventful. The faculty and staff is already
planning for all the new students who will be coming their
way in August.
Please have a safe summer
and know that you will be prayed for everyday for your safe
return to Holy Rosary School.
